ProTecShore™ Natural looking shore line protection for rivers, bays and inland waterways. Environmentally sound, functionally adequate.

An Inland Erosion Control System (IECS) designed to protect sloped surfaces from erosion. ProTecShore™ works well on levees, earthen dams and dykes as well as property located on rivers, lakes, and bays. The ProTecShore™ system is a series of interconnected tear drop shaped cells (or rows) which accomplish the gradual dissipation of wave force energy from natural forces and ship wakes. It is installed shore parallel on a gentle slope ranging from 3:1 to 5:1. The internal cells are filled with sand or indigenous soils with small portable trash pumps or other means. The upper surfaces of each cell is comprised of two separate layers of proprietary geosynthetic materials, an inner fabric called PerFectPore™ (very tight weave to hold sand or soil fines) and an outer protective shroud called ProTecShield™.
ProTecShore™ features:
Anchor tube located on landward side of mattress and is buried to provide stability.
Mattresses typically come preassembled in 100 foot section, but can be custom sized to fit any application.
Each mattress contains 3 ProTecShore™ cells.
Each ProTecShore™ cell is 18” wide by 7.5” tall.
Plants typically root into the outer layer of fabric, increasing the attenuation friction on waves and wakes, and encouraging soil deposition and retainage.
The materials can be color coded to match the natural shoreline soil colors.
If damaged, the outer shroud material can be easily repaired with readily available adhesives and, or, small hand held hot air welding guns.
Seams are heat welded, rather than sewn which dramatically increases the overall strength of the system.
Once installed, covered and planted, the shoreline returns to a natural look, feel, and function (but has staying power).
